On Thursday, February 5 The Blues Room hosted a party for Grammy Award nominee Cedric Samson in their newly opened VIP Lounge.

Cedric was on his was to New York City to attend the award ceremonies where his song "Father of our Nation" was in contention for a Grammy.. Cedric wrote and produced the song, sung by Jennifer Jones with Hugh Masekela on flugelhorn, for the film "Mandela". Among the celebrities in attendance was South African TV host Dali Tambo.
