Over three albums the Soweto String Quartet has created some of the most singular music to have emanated from South Africa, effortlessly melding the rigors of classical music (in which they are all trained) with their homeland's traditional rhythms and musical styles. Zebra Crossing, Renaissance and Millennia have earned The Johannesburg-based group several awards, platinum sales and the adulation of music fans around the globe, many of whom have been able to see SSQ play live through the group's extensive European touring schedule.
