THE
JACK BOND BAND - PLAYED THURSDAYS UNTIL 3 SEPTEMBER The band's lineup includes Terry Hunt on drums, Eddie
"Lance" Boyle on bass, Robin Walsh on guitar and Jack Bond on vocals and
harmonica. The band plays covers of blues classics and Rock and Roll favourites from the
'50s and '60s. They are very entertaining and always get The Blues Room dancing. Terry
Hunt is a very accomplished drummer and an avid student of African and Caribbean drum
styles. |

Robin Walsh the
guitarist, is an extremely popular performer and recording artist in South Africa . His CD
, eponymously entitled "Robin Walsh", is on Gallo Records and is available in
South Africa. He is the only artist to be featured by The Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra
twice, and has also performed and judged at two Miss South Africa beauty pageants. Jack
Bond, the band's frontman and singer is also a great harmonica player. Finally, Eddie
"Lance" Boyle the bassist, has been a fixture in the Johannesburg music scene
for over twenty years. His playing is rock solid and he also performs with George
Worthmore and the Divebombers when the band plays at The Blues Room. |
