In
1999 Adrian burst onto the local music scene with his band
GRANNYSMITH. Their debut single 'Starlight' was a top five
hit, earning them a SAMA nomination and establishing them
amongst the top bands in the country.
Their
follow up singles 'Circles', 'Getting Stronger' and 'Time'
enjoyed similar success and remain regional radio staples.
They opened for international super groups SAVAGE GARDEN and
WESTLIFE as their self-titled album (SonyBMG) quickly gained
them popularity.
In
2002 Adrian's solo debut 'My Angel' followed on from his Grannysmith
success, reaching number one on various charts and radio vote
lines. It was also nominated for SONG OF THE YEAR at the SAMA's
and has been included on many CD's as well as being featured
on the DOVES TV campaign.
After
a break from the industry following the death of his son,
Adrian's next move was into production. His production credits
include FEVERTREE, RIVERS WORSHIP and various PROJECT FAME
artistes. In 2004 he fronted a project band recording called
LIFE and in 2005 recorded two live unplugged evenings, including
all his hits, on the independent release CNR SOUTH AND MIDDLE
(Hopeful/Grateful).
In
2006 the singer/songwriter and his backing band (which includes
guitarist George Vardas) have begun to re-establish his sound
and direction as he moves into a new era of his career. Adrian
is currently working on a new album with award winning producers
Brian O'shea and George Vardas
